The most persuasive career guidance is a person
A student in Grade VIII who wants to study medicine will listen to a doctor who sat in the same classroom far more attentively than to any careers talk. That is the practical value of an alumni network, and it is why we maintain one.
Alumni contribute to the school in four concrete ways:
- Career talks — describing what their work actually involves, including the parts nobody mentions
- Mentoring — guiding senior students through entrance preparation and university applications
- Career day — joining the annual event where students explore professions first-hand
- Scholarship support — several alumni contribute to the Foundation's scholarship fund
If you studied here and are willing to give an hour a year, that hour goes a long way.
